The VEC system is a comprehensive linkage of part design, patterns, molds, materials, process control, equipment, and part production. It allows VEC Technology L.L.C. to provide its customers an advanced, economical, and complete solution for closed molded composite applications. 

As an end-to-end operating system, VEC Technology closes the gap between the limitations of open-faced molding and the high-cost of other forms of composite closed molding. VEC Technology is able to consistently produce high quality, medium to large, complex molded composite parts in low to mid-range volumes, and reduce in-plant emissions.

The heart of the VEC System is VEC Technology’s patented Floating Mold technology. The Floating Mold tooling is based on the fundamental principle that fluids such as water are non-compressible in the pressure ranges used in closed molding.  The benefits of the Floating Mold technology are:

The manufacturing equipment of the VEC System is the VEC Cell. The VEC Cell is an automated, computer controlled closed-mold low-pressure system. Production takes place in a self-contained cell, and over 500 variables are monitored and controlled via secure Internet connections to our 24/7 Solution Center located in Greenville, PA. This results in unprecedented part quality and consistency.
